Lime Tree positioned on the boundary of 17 Oak Road and 19 Oak Road - front of the property. Permission to pollard/ heavily reduce the crown. A large hole/cavity has occurred in the base of the tree?

Lime Tree positioned on the boundary of 17 Oak Road and 19 Oak Road - front of the property. Permission to pollard/ heavily reduce the crown. A large hole/cavity has occurred in the base of the tree? Some sort of fungus has caused this. This recommendation has been undertaken by Arborist - Stuart Reeve Works proposed to mature Lime tree. Reduction of current height from approximately 18m (measured from ground level) to approximately 10m on completion (measured from ground level). Reduction of canopy spread from approximately 6m (measured from main stem) to approximately 3m on completion (measured from main stem).
